Through the Lens: Yellowstone and Grand Teton
Exploring the vivid landscapes and majestic wildlife of these iconic National Parks
Film production has a funny way of taking center stage in my life at times, causing photography to take a slight detour. My camera hasn't been as active as I'd have liked recently. When I initially envisioned this Substack, it seemed more image-centric, but there's always an ebb and flow to things. We've just been riding a text-heavy wave lately.
This post, however, is a return to form. It's all about the photos. I recently had the good fortune of finding a budget-friendly flight on Avelo Airlines with my boyfriend that would whisk us from Burbank, CA, to Bozeman, MT. From there, it was all about Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. An extended 4th of July weekend was the perfect excuse to explore these incredible landscapes.
It was a much-needed escape, fresh air that invigorated my spirit. Now, I want to share a slice of this journey with you. So, here are some of my favorite captures from that trip.
And if you’re curious, all these were photographed with the Sony A1, and mostly a couple of lenses: 50mm/1.2 and 100-400mm. I also brought a 1.4x teleconverter to get a touch closer to wildlife.

Beautiful photos. love that last shot!
Love the beauty that you share with us! Thank you so much!
